Peruvian Amazon: Built in 2016, the Amazonas vessel offers an all-inclusive and luxurious exploration of the Amazon Region. Departing from Iquitos, passengers will visit the Pilpintuwasi Butterfly Sanctuary and learn about this species, as well as a variety of unique flora and fauna along the Amazon River. This 4 day journey offers a visit to the Yagua tribe in Indiana, Monkey Island and encounters with Pink Dolphins.

Itinerary in Brief

Day 1: Iquitos - San Andres
Passengers will arrive at the embarkation port and will wait in the lounge bar while our staff takes their bags to each room. Then all passengers will be directed to the upper deck where the tour guide will explain the itinerary and protocols and procedures for emergencies and evacuation. In the meantime, we will be heading to the Amazon River.
The first activity of the day will be a visit to the Pilpintuwasi Butterfly Sanctuary where we will be learning more about this species. After that, we will be visiting the Bora tribe in San Andres. We will learn more about their customs and beliefs. At the end of the day, we will return to the vessel for dinner.
Day 2: Amazon River - Napo River
After breakfast on board you will head out on your first activity. You will take a boat ride down the Amazon River to see and learn more about the flora and fauna. You will then pay a visit to the Yagua tribe in Indiana and begin a hiking exploration through the forest until you reach the Napo River.
Day 3: Yanayacu River - Monkey Island
We will start the day early so we can take a boat ride down to see the pink dolphins and explore the Yanayacu river, its tributaries and sand islands. We will have breakfast on the speedboats while we appreciate nature.
After that, we will be visiting Monkey Island in order to see these beautiful creatures. In the afternoon, we will have a special session with our tour guides where they will show videos and give lectures on everything that we have experienced during the excursions.
Day 4: Manatee Rescue Center - Iquitos
We will head back to Iquitos and after breakfast we will visit the manatee rescue center as our last activity. Our staff will be say goodbye, but the memories of this beautiful Amazon experience will remain in your heart forever.

Your schedule of activities, presentations, meal hours and films is usually posted one day in advance. Please remember that the unexpected is an everyday occurrence during an Amazon expedition so it is possible that while you are sleeping we may need to adjust the activities for the next day. Your daily program notices and our itineraries are meant only as guides.
Luggage Recommendation: Sturdy, soft-sided luggage is recommended over hard-sided luggage, as it will be easier to stow in your cabin. If you are traveling via the United States we advise that you do not lock your luggage, or use a Travel Security Administration (TSA) approved security device.
