Itinerary in Brief
Day 1: Yalobi Bay
Day 2: Blue Lagoon
Day 3: Sawa-I-Lau
Day 4: Drawaqa Island
Day 5: Return Port Denarau
Day 1: Yalobi Bay
Depart Port Denarau at 12.15pm for your high speed catamaran transfer to the Sacred Islands where you will be welcomed aboard the M.V. Fiji Princess.
Settle into your cabin and have lunch on the ship, then spend your day snorkelling, swimming and relaxing on the beach. In the afternoon you can learn the art of Fiji style high tea and partake in a cooking lesson on how to make 'Roti in Lolo'. Enjoy a complimentary sparkling wine at sunset prior to the Captain’s Welcome Dinner.
Day 2: Blue Lagoon
Today’s destination is the famous Blue Lagoon and our own private beach on beautiful Nanuya Lailai Island. M.V. Fiji Princess will tie off to a coconut tree and this is your chance to jump off the back of the ship as many times as you like and swim to shore. Optional activities include snorkelling, fish feeding and volleyball. A very special night is ahead with a traditional Fijian Lovo — a meal cooked underground in a fire pit and dinner on the beach. Tonight’s entertainment is a Meke performance by local villagers.
Day 3: Sawa-I-Lau Island
Most of the day is at leisure at Blue Lagoon. Spend the morning on a guided walk to Lo’s Tea Shop on the other side of the island or participate in Fijian activities including basket weaving or a snorkelling safari. Lunch is on board while cruising north to the sacred Sawa-I-Lau Caves. Steps rise from the shore up to the first cave. You can view the majestic cavern from the stairs or take to the water. A short swim though an underwater passage takes you into the second of these stunning limestone caves.
This evening includes a special visit to Tamasua Village. A yaqona ceremony and traditional village style feast sitting on floor mats.
Day 4: Drawaqa Island
Cruise to Drawaqa Island and on arrival our Marine biologist will tell you all about the local fish, marine life and conservation work the Vinaka Fiji Volunteer team are doing in this area. During May to October you can snorkel with Manta Rays. You will also have the option to visit a local school. Tonight enjoy a BBQ dinner onboard, under the stars and get ready to party Fiji style.
Day 5: Port Denaru
Enjoy breakfast on board as the MV Fiji Princess cruises back to Port Denarau. Back at port you’ll be serenaded with the traditional Isa Lei farewell song by the crew, as your exploration of the beautiful Yasawa Islands comes to an end.
